Slow Running Computer--7 Ways To Fix It

When your computer was just out of the box it ran smooth as silk at top speed. The true top speed depends of course on the speed of your computer chip, amount of RAM memory onboard and various other components in your particular machine. A computer with the latest dual core processor will run much faster than one with a Celeron or equivalent processor. If you want to have a blazing fast computer you must be prepared to spend some money for the best components.

Having said this there are many other things which will determine the running speed of your machine and how fast it surfs the net and runs programs. Here is how you can fix some of them for faster more efficient running:

(1.) When you computer boots very slowly the reason is probably too many programs in your start menu. Look at what is in there and remove all programs you do not need at startup. Don't delete them from the computer just remove them from startup and you can access them elsewhere when you need them.

(2.) Delete all cookies and temporary files. These contribute greatly to slow running.

(3.) You probably have a number of seldom or never used programs on your hard drive. Get rid of them by uninstalling completely. This will free up considerable hard drive space which helps the machine to run better and faster.

(4.) Use the defragment application in Windows to defrag your hard drive. If yopu have not used this for some time it will free up a surprising amount of hard drive space.

(5.) Permanently delete all deleted emails and old no longer needed sent and received emails. If you have not done this in a long time you may be surprised at how much disk space is freed up.

(6.) Insufficient RAM memory is a major cause of slow running. You need at least 1 gigabyte of RAM to handle a lot of programs. Upgrade your machine by adding memory and you will get a great speed boost.

(7.)Scan your registry with a registry cleaner application. You can download this from several sources on the internet. You can get a free online scan which will report all the problems in your registry to you.

If you know how to edit the registry yourself you can go ahead and remove all the unwanted material. If you are not expert in this work please don't try it. By removing one essential entry you may render your computer inoperable and this can only be corrected by reinstalling the operating system in some cases.

The simple and safe way to do it is to use the registry cleaner application to do the work. The reasonable fee charged is well worth it in avoiding serious problems by doing it manually.

The repair function of the application will quickly and safely remove all the unwanted material from your registry. When this has been done the computer will be returned to runnimng as fast and smooth as new. It takes only a few minutes to complete this task and the resul;ts can be quite amazing.

We purchased and tested many of the popular registry cleaner applications. We found that while they will all do the job some are much better than others in doing the work easily and with best results. The application which we found best can be found at our website at: http:/www.bestregistryrepaironline.com

Check this out and you will be offered a free registry scan to fix your problems.

    Slow Internet Surfing?

When you have had your computer for some time and it has had a fair amount of use, you notice that it is taking much longer to surf from site to site than it used to. It is slow for the computer to start up also and you seem to be always waiting . This can be very frustrating and it seems to get worse as time passes. What could be causing this?

Actually various things could be causing this type of problem or adding to it. First which websites are you visiting? There is a huge difference in response time at different websites. One factor is the speed of the website's servers . Another thing to consider is how busy is the site most of the time. These are things which are however beyond your control. To determine exactly how fast your computer can access a good fast website I would go to www.google.com. Google have extremely fast reponse times and they take pride in it. Despite millions of people clicking onto Google daily you will get a response in a fraction of a second if you have a fast computer and bradband connection. If you can't access Google very quickly you have a problem with your computer beyond a doubt.

Another thing to check is your own internet service provider. Is your connection a highspeed cable or telephone line ? If you use a dial up service your response times will be very slow and there is nothing you can do about it about. With a highspeed broadband connection you should at all times have fast response times. Services are available on the internet which can check the speed of your internet connection . Just go to Google and type internet service speed in the search box and you will find them.

If all of these things are OK then the problem is in your computer. Very likely you have a bloated registry which will slow down computer operation very noticeably and may also result in freezing and crashing. The Windows registry is the huge information databank which the operating system uses to run your computer and programs you have installed on it. Over a period of time it becomes corrupted with large amounts of unecessary data fragments and other junk. The operating system must navigate through all of this in order to to run the computer. This results in very slow running and internet surfing.

The best way to correct this is to run a registry cleaner application which will edit out the unnecessary registry entries and return it to good condition once more. A number of registry cleaner tools are available for download and we tested six of the best of them. All will give you a free scan to find out what your registry problems are and will then report the results to you. You then have to decide what you should do. We found in our testing that REGEASY was a superior windows registry repair tool. It was the best in terms of safety, ease of use and performance.
